Annual Report of the Delegacy lxxxvii term of this session and gave the first course of six public lectures which have just been instituted at that University He spent the second term at Boston University and gave the Elton lecture at George Washington University and three Otis memorial lectures at Wheaton College Massachusetts He read papers at congress of philosophers at Sarasota and at New Orleans and he lectured at various other universities in the United States and Canada Professor Lewis attended meeting of the Academie Internationale des Sciences Religieuses in Paris and delivered lecture there on 'Religious experience and authority' He gave three lectures at the reunion meetings at Regent's Park College Oxford and one at the Bishop of Exeter's Clergy School at Exeter He was external examiner in philosophy for Reading and in divinity for Glasgow Dr Parrinder lectured to the Friends of Dr Williams's Library the Religious Studies department of Lancaster University and at conference of the Extra-Mural department of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne DEPARTMENT OF NEW TESTAMENT STUDIES The Reverend Professor Evans gave three lectures on St Paul at Imperial College on behalf of the Board of Studies and extra-mural lectures on the Gospels at the Bromley College of Education and to East Kent teachers He read papers to the Lightfoot Society at Durham and to the University Society for the Study of Religion at Lancaster He gave lecture on 'Christ at Prayer in the Fourth Gospel' to con- ference of Religious at Tournai read paper at Westminster College Cambridge and preached at the opening service of the academic year at the University of Glasgow Dr Morna Hooker read paper to the Hort Society at Cambridge DEPARTMENT OF OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES The Reverend Professor Ackroyd lectured on Sacrifice and its meaning in the Old Testament' to the Norwich Society of Sacred Study in March and also lectured at the Salisbury Diocesan Clergy School in July He was member of the British Council of Churches Working Party on Religious Factors in the Middle Eastern Situation Professor Hammershaimb of Aarhus visited the department in March and lectured on 'Sin and forgiveness in the Old Testament
