THE THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT of KING'S COLLEGE LONDON UNIVERSITY OF LONDON ANNUAL REPORT OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE SESSION 1968-69 presented to the COURT of the COLLEGE council and corporation The Council has met three times in joint session with the Theological Committee The Council heard with regret of the death on May 31st 1969 of Professor Charles Leslie Wrenn Rawlinson and Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon at the University of Oxford 1946-63 and Professor of English Language and Literature at this College from 1939-47 and member of the Council for over fifteen years also of the death on May nth 1969 of Sir Thomas Percival Creed Principal of Queen Mary College from 1952-67 and Secretary of King's College from 1948-52 also of the death on August 17th 1968 of Colonel Ε Hillersden member of Council for many years also of the death on August 21st 1968 of Miss Hippisley who was appointed the first tutor to women theological students in 1919 Members of Council were pleased to learn of the appointment of Professor Dennis Nineham as Warden of Keble College Oxford The Council heard with pleasure of the award to Professor Francis Wormald of the and of an honorary Doctorate of the University of York and the award of the to Dr Huelin
