Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes 197 Undergraduate Awards CENTENARY SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES for Regulations see page 178 INTERMEDIATE SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship of £40 year will be awarded annually to students registered at King's College in the Faculty of Laws upon the results of the Special Inter- mediate examination in La ws held at the end of each session and upon considera- tion of the work done during the session The Scholarship will be tenable for two years subject to satisfactory reports upon the student's progress The Scholarship will not be awarded if there is no candidate of sufficient merit Postgraduate Awards POSTGRADUATE ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP Postgraduate Entrance Scholarship is offered each session in the Faculty of Laws for study in pursuit of one of the postgraduate degrees in the Faculty or for special research In any session in which the Faculty decides not to nominate candidate for an Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship second Postgraduate award may be offered in accordance with these Regulations The value of each Scholarship is £80 year payable in three instalments plus the amount of tuition fees up to maximum of £60 per year It does not include registration or examination fees The Scholarship is awarded by Committee of the Faculty of Laws on the basis of the candidate's record as disclosed in his application for admission to the Faculty The Scholarship is renewable for second year student who has been offered place even provisionally for postgraduate study in the Faculty may apply to be considered as candidate for Post- graduate Scholarship The closing date for applications is October in the year in which the postgraduate study begins The payment of terminal instalments of the Scholarship is dependent upon satisfactory report on the work of the holder The award may be held concurrently with any other awards made to the holders Medals and Prizes In the Faculty of Laws HAROLD POTTER PRIZE The Prize was instituted in 1951 under the terms of the will of Professor Harold Potter Head of the Department of Laws from 1930 and Dean of the Faculty from 1938
