Annual Report of the Delegacy lxxxiii of the University of Toulouse who collaborated in the research work of the department Dr Rolston was welcomed on Fellowship awarded by the National Research Council of Canada Professor Hey lectured before the Austrian Chemical Society in Vienna He also gave lecture at residential conference for sixth- form boys and girls held in Keswick School and organised jointly by the British Association for the Advancement of Science and the Cumberland Education Authority Lectures were also given at Exeter University Sir John Cass College and Chelsea College of Science and Technology Professor Gold gave lectures at Queen Elizabeth College Brandeis University and the Universities of Reading and Sao Paulo Brazil He attended the sixth conference on Stable Isotopes in Leipzig as guest of the German Academy of Science East Germany and gave one of the plenary lectures He was speaker at the second international symposium on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Sao Paulo as guest of the Brazilian Academy of Science He also gave papers at the Gordon Conference on the Chemistry and Physics of Isotopes held at Holderness New Hampshire and at the symposium on Hydrogen-bonded Solvent Systems held in Newcastle He attended the twelfth Mechanisms Conference at Brandeis University Dr Robertson lectured at the Manchester University Institute of Science and Technology at the Universities of Strathclyde St Andrews and Reading at the University College of Wales Aberyst- wyth at University College and Queen Mary College London at Kingston College of Technology Woolwich Polytechnic Regent Street Polytechnic to the Luton Scientific Association and to the Monsanto Scientific Society in Llangollen He also took part in con- ference on Chemisorption and Catalysis held at Nottingham and gave lecture at the University of Bonn Dr Robertson also read two papers at the fifteenth Field Emission Symposium held at the University of Bonn one with Brailsford and one with Derrick he was also Chairman of Session on field ionisation mass spectrometry at this symposium He and Mr Brailsford presented paper at the Mass Spectroscopy Group Meeting at University College London and Dr Robertson acted as Chairman of Session on ion-molecule reactions at this meeting Dr Robertson was re-elected Secretary of the Board of Studies in Chemistry and Chemical Industries He acted as Scientific Consultant for Mullard-Rank film on the mass spectrometer made in connection with the Nuffield A-levcl project
