Annual Report of the Delegacy lxi English culture and society About the same time he gave two lectures in the Faculty of Law and Economics of the University of Paris as part of the general course of that Faculty on contemporary legal systems In these ways Professor Chloros has contributed notably to the estab- lishment of the teaching of English law in France with the goodwill and co-operation of the French authorities He gave course of lec- tures on English law at the Institut Universitaire d'Etudes Europeennes at Turin and took part in the Conference on Legal Problems of the State Enterprise in Socialist Countries at Como organised by the Centro Studi Ricerche su Problem Economico-Sociali of Milan Professor Guest was appointed leader of the United Kingdom delegation to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law UNCITRAL New York he was Chairman of the colloquium organised at Bristol by the United Kingdom National Committee on Comparative Law on Discharge of Contract by Breach and partici- pated in the Conference on Instalment Credit Law held by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law in Cambridge He was appointed Reader in Common Law to the Council of Legal Educa- tion and lectured to the Association of Law Teachers on the House of Lords and the Law of Contract Mr Kinley carried the burden of international law teaching during the session but was able in pursuit of his development of defence studies to visit the Headquarters and the British Embassy in Bonn for discussion on the legal status of foreign troops He was guest lecturer at the Royal Aeronautical Society's Air Transport Con- ference in Oxford He also took an important part in discussions relating to the constitutional position of the Isle of Man Mr Hughes gave course in Roman Law at Oxford during the summer term Dr Mellows organised colloquium in Property Law at the College Mr Boyle lectured on the English Legal System to group of law teachers and students from the Argentine Mr Freeman visited penal institutions in Denmark and West Germany as member of study party organised by the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Delinquency He gave course of lectures on Aspects of Criminology to the Probation and After-Care Training Centre of the Home Office He also took part in several conferences
