UNIVERSITY OF LONDON KING'S COLLEGE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE DELEGACY FOR THE SESSION 1967-68 Presented to the Court and the Senate of the University of London GENERAL REPORT membership of the delegacy The Delegacy received with very great regret the news of the death on August 2nd 1968 of Sir Beresford Clark former student in the Geology department and at one time Honorary Secretary of the Union Society Sir Beresford was elected Fellow of King's College in 1964 and President of the King's College London Association in 1966 He was first appointed to the Delegacy in 1965 His services there and as member of the Finance Committee had been greatly valued and he would be very much missed The following new appointments to the Delegacy were made by the Senate in the course of the session Professor Brownlee nominated by the Professorial Board in place of Professor Μ Howard who resigned from the College on September 30th 1968 Professor Kane nominated by the Professorial Board in place of Professor Graveson who retired in rotation Professor Style nominated by the Professorial Board in place of Professor D'Silva Assistant Principal The Hon Sir Arthur Howard was re-elected Chair- man and Sir Angus Gillan was re-elected Vice-Chair- man and Treasurer changes in the staff Retirements The retirement of the Principal Professor Bullough and Mrs Margaret Phillips Reader in French became effective at the end of the session xix
