Annual Report of the Council ν miss medway To have been private Secretary to three Deans of King's College over period of thirty years is to have served directly and indirectly large number of theological students and members of the teaching staff In taking leave of Miss Winifred Medway on her retirement the Council wishes to record its appreciation and gratitude to her for service unique in quality as in duration She has been personal link between old students and the changing life of the Theological Faculty and De- partment and her unfailing memory has given pleasure to old students on return as it has helped to make administration more personal Her work has been pastoral as well as efficient She will be greatly missed in the College as well as in the Department her courage in facing physical handicap and illness in recent years has been an example to all who have understood its strains The Council in thanking Miss Medway for her incomparable service hopes that the recollection of her many friends made at King's will be constant source of joy to her in her retirement The Staff of the Theological Department elected the Reverend David Martin Chaplain of King's College to serve on the Council in place of the Reverend Coggins whose term of office had expired The Council expressed thanks to the Reverend Professor Tasker for his long services on receiving news of his wish to retire from the Finance Committee fellowship The Reverend Professor Mascall sc Professor of Historical Theology since 1962 was elected Fellow of King's College staff The Reverend Canon Jasper was appointed Reader in Liturgical Studies but during the year resigned from full-time appointment on being nominated Canon of Westminster He remains on the staff as part-time lecturer The Reverend Joseph Robinson th resigned from his part- time Lectureship on being appointed residentiary canon of Canterbury Cathedral
