208 Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes MERCK SHARP AND DOHME PRIZE This prize was established in 1967 by Merck Sharp and Dohme Ltd in order to encourage studies within the field of powder technology The prize will be open to all students registered at the College for the post- graduate course of study in powder technology The prize will be awarded to the student adjudged to be the best candidate in the year successfully completing the postgraduate course in powder tech- nology The prize which may take the form of cash or books and instruments is of the value of £20 and additionally the Company presents copy of the 'Merck Index' worth about £10 The prize will be awarded on the recommendation of the Professor of Powder Technology JOHN ORIEL PRIZE IN INTERNAL COM- BUSTION ENGINEERING This prize to the value of approximately £25 may be awarded annually at the discretion of the examiners to the student who has most distinguished himself in the course of study during the year
