Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes 207 The completed paper must be submitted not later than April 30th of the year of the competition If the examiners are satisfied with the paper and with the supervisor's report on the candidate's research ability they will call the candi- date for interview before the end of June At the interview the examiners will be free to ask questions on the written paper the candidate's research and his general interests TAYLOR WOODROW PRIZE The Taylor Woodrow Charity Trust provides the sum of Ā£50 annually for the award of prize or prizes under the following conditions The award shall be made to students in the second year of the course for the Sc Engineering degree One student shall be chosen from the Civil Engineering group and one from the Mechanical Engineering group If in any year there is in the opinion of the Professors concerned only one student in the two groups who merits the prize the whole amount of the prize may be given to that student The winners of the award shall be selected on grounds of outstanding personality and character The Prize shall be used to defray part or the whole of the expenses incurred during period spent outside the British Isles during the long vacation at the end of the second session of study in place or places where experience of some field of Civil or Mechanical Engineering practice may be obtained student who is offered the prize shall sign statement declaring that he accepts the conditions of the award Provided this statement has been signed the prize money may be paid over to the student before he intends to begin his journey Every student who obtains an award of the Prize shall submit to the Head of his Department report on the use he has made of the prize money KING'S COLLEGE LONDON ENGINEERS' ASSOCIATION MEDALS These Medals were founded in 1964 from contributions made by former engineering students of the College who were members of The Medals are open to all full-time students who have studied for at least three years in the Faculty of Engineering One Medal will be awarded annually in each of the Departments of Civil Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to the student who in the opinion of the Faculty of Engineering shall have most distinguished himself in his work on an individual problem during the final year of the Sc Eng course
