Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes 177 Prizes open to students in the Faculty of Theology only TRENCH GREEK TESTAMENT PRIZE The friends and former pupils of the Most Reverend Richard Chenevix Trench Archbishop of Dublin formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testa- ment at King's College presented to the College the sum of £156 for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize consists of books to the value of £20 The Prize will be awarded to the student gaining the highest marks in the two New Testament papers at the final examination BICKNELL PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1935 from funds subscribed by his colleagues and pupils in memory of the Rev Edward John Bicknell Professor of the Exegesis of the New Testament from 1928 to 1934 The Prize which consists of books to the value of £5 is offered annually The Prize will be awarded to the student gaining the highest marks on the two New Testament papers at the final examination RELTON PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1930 by Professor Herbert Maurice Relton in memory of his father the Rev Frederick Relton The Prize consists of books to the value of £6 The Prize will be awarded to the student obtaining the highest marks on the two papers in Biblical and Historical Theology at the final examination COUNCIL PRIZE IN CHURCH HISTORY This Prize was founded by the Council in 1961 The Prize will be to the value of £5 The Prize will be awarded to the student gaining the highest marks in the two papers one compulsory and one optional on Church History at the final examination BISHOP COLLINS MEMORIAL PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1920 by the Theological Society from funds sub- scribed by the colleagues and old students of William Edward Collins Bishop of Gibraltar Professor of Ecclesiastical History in King's College from 1893 to 1903
