lxviii Annual Report of the Delegacy session he gave lectures in the universities of Oxford Manchester Birmingham Bristol and Exeter and at Homerton College Dr King lectured in the universities of Oxford Reading and Perugia and at the Froebel Education Institute Garnett College Bolton College of Education the College of Preceptors and the College d'Europe at Bruges In the Easter vacation he led party of students on Comparative Education study tour of France and he acted as advisor on sub-committees of the Council of Europe Dr Cross was invited to submit written evidence to the Plowden Committee on selection for secondary school education and on streaming by ability in primary schools He continued to serve on the board of directors of the British Journal of Educational Psychology as representative of the Association of Teachers in Colleges and Depart- ments of Education He has extended his research into the problem of selection for higher education by including in the investigations wide cross-section of King's College students Dr Î’ Dawson lectured for the London Branch of the Association for Science Education for which he completed report to be pub- lished on Science in the Introductory Phase and in courses arranged by the ILEA He attended specialist courses at Oxford Cambridge and Southampton In his extended work with the Nuffield Science Teach- ing Project he served as member of the team responsible for the Physical Science section of this project as secretary to the working party on Reaction Kinetics and as Nuffield Project representative on the Advisory Committee to the University of London School Exami- nations Department Mr Ian Harris broadcast unit of five programmes on Geometry in the Middle School Mathematics series on BBC TV He gave courses of lectures on school and university work in mathematics at Fairfax School Southend Battle of Britain House Ruislip and the London Institute of Education He also gave series of lectures in three schools in the Greater London Area and individual lectures to number of Mathematical associations and colleges Mr Muir lectured to the London Teachers' Literary Group to conference of Classics Teachers in the University of Wales at Bangor and Cardiff and at London schools The annual dramatic production of the Education Society was the Antigone of Anouilh It was given in the Great Hall and subsequently at All Saints' Margaret Street and St Saviour's and St Olave's Grammar School
