UNIVERSITY OF LONDON KING'S COLLEGE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE DELEGACY FOR THE SESSION 1965-66 Presented to the Court and the Senate of the University of London GENERAL REPORT membership of the delegacy The Delegacy received with great regret the resignation of Sir Cosmo Parkinson ll member of the Delegacy since 1947 and of the Finance Committee since 1949 The Delegacy recorded their appreciation of Sir Cosmo's wise counsel experience and kindliness and wished him many years of happy retirement The following new appointments to the Delegacy were made by the Senate in the course of the session Mr Baird nominated by Surrey County Council in place of Mr Wilton and Professor D'Silva nominated by the Professorial Board in place of Professor Ross who retired in rotation The Hon Sir Arthur Howard was re-elected Chair- man and Sir Angus Gillan was re-elected Vice-Chair- man and Treasurer Dr Lintott Lecturer in Classics was nominated to attend meetings of the Delegacy as an observer for the non-professorial staff changes in the staff Retirements The Delegacy offered its best wishes for happy retirement to four members of the teaching staff who left College at the end of the session Mr Davies Professor Findlay Mr Handford and Professor Nokes Mr Davies an Oxford graduate and member of the Inner Temple joined the staff of Faculty of Laws in 1946 from temporary xxi
