xiv Annual Report of the Council endowment fund for the Frederick Denison Maurice professorship and further gift to make possible the comissioning of silver cross and candlesticks by Louis Osman for the Hostel Chapel in Vincent Square Students who were at the College when the late Prebendary Richard Hanson was Dean have contributed £200 towards prize in his memory to this Mrs Hanson has added gift of £500 from these two sums prizes will be awarded in the Philosophy of Religion and Christian Ethics FINANCE Income and Expenditure Account The income from fees amounted to £16 019 The Grant from the Church Commissioners remained at £18 000 Expenditure on the salaries of both teaching and administrative staff increased owing to annual increments Departmental expenses and the costs of maintaining premises both rose slightly With income at £36 604 and expenditure at £31 634 the year's working showed surplus of £4 970 compared with surplus of £2 226 in 1964-65 Corporation General Fund Account Income was received from the usual sources and after meeting expenses the account showed surplus of £2 253 which has been transferred to the Special Reserve Fund King's College Hostel During 1965-66 vacation lettings brought in £1 080 compared with £1 813 last year The total income was £16 328 last year it was £17 061 Expenditure was £15 103 compared with £15 261 last year The main saving was on Repairs and Decorations which were very heavy last year Half the cost to date of the new heating re-organisation has been met by grant from The year's working has shown surplus of £1 225 compared with surplus of £1 800 last year and the net surplus carried forward on July 31st 1966 was £2 566 King's College at St Boniface College Warminster During the present year the total income amounted to £15 124 compared with £16 057 last year due to fewer men being in residence
