148 Library Facilities two world wars which are still in private hands The Centre forms part of the College Library and is administered under the supervision of body of Trustees set up by the University Inter-Libkary Loans Books not in the College Library can usually be borrowed from another library but will then have to be read in the General Library Applications for books from other libraries should be made to the Library staff Photocopying Photocopies or xerocopies of articles in periodicals or portions of books can usually be supplied by the Librarian at cost price Applications for copies should be made to the Library staff It is contrary to the Library rules for any Library book including an inter-library loan to be photocopied or xerocopied other than by member of the Library staff save with the special permission of the Librarian The General Library is equipped with readers for microfdm micro- card and microfiche which may be used on application to the Library staff Library Rules Admission to the Library Members of the Council or the Delegacy for the time being Fellows of the College and members of the academic staff and senior members of the administrative and library staffs of the College shall be entitled to be admitted to the Library to read and borrow Junior members of the administrative and library staffs and on the written recommendation of the heads of their departments members of the technical and maintenance staffs of the College may be admitted to the Library to read and borrow on making application to the Librarian Regular students of the College shall be entitled to be admitted to the Library to read and borrow Occasional students of the College and students of other Schools of the University attending inter-collegiate lectures in the College may be admitted to read and borrow the privilege of borrowing being limited in each case to books in their subjects of study in the College Other fit persons may be admitted to read and consult books in the Library at the discretion of the Librarian and on production of satisfactory recom- mendation In special cases they may also be granted the privilege of borrowing from the Library under such conditions as the Library Committee may determine
