Annual Report of the Council xm FINANCE Income and Expenditure Account The income from fees amounted to £17 233 The Grant from the Church Commissioners was increased from £9 000 to £18 000 from April ist 1965 Expenditure on the salaries of both teaching and administrative staff increased following the use in the Church Commissioners' Grant Departmental costs rose slightly and Maintenance of Premises more steeply mainly owing to the purchase of new furniture with income at £32 028 and expenditure at £29 802 The year's working showed surplus of £2 226 compared with deficit of £922 in 1963-64 Corporation General Fund Account Income was received from the usual sources and after meeting ex- penses the account showed surplus of £1 855 which has been trans- ferred to the Special Reserve Fund Kings College Hostel On July 31st 1964 net surplus of £1 373 was carried forward During 1964-65 vacation lettings brought in £1 813 compared with £2 567 last year The total income for 1964-65 was £17 061 last year it was £15 092 Expenditure was £15 261 compared with £14 324 last year On Repairs and Decorations £379 has been spent in excess of the normal allocation and has been added to the £36 excess carried forward on July 31st 1964 The Heating Reorganisation towards which grant will be received from has to date cost £1 800 Thus although the year's working has shown surplus of £1 800 compared with surplus of £769 last year the net surplus carried forward on July 31st 1965 amounted to £994 King's College at St Boniface College Warminster During the present year the total income amounted to £16 057 compared with £15 551 last year Expenditure for the current year was £16 170 compared with £15 715 last year Wages and salaries the cost of food and expenditure on Furniture and Equipment have all increased The result of the year's working was deficit of £113 compared with deficit of £164 last year The net accumulated surplus carried forward at July ist 1965 was £450
