iv Annual Report of the Council the newly developed Faculty of Theology the Reverend Professor Dennis Eric Nineham left at the end of the session to take up his appointment as Regius Professor of Divinity in the University of Cambridge The Council expressed its deep appreciation of the notable work that Professor Nineham had done for theological studies in the College and in the University as scholar as brilliant lecturer and rigorous tutor The Council heard with pleasure that the University and the Dele- gacy had appointed as the new Professor of Divinity the Reverend Canon George Frederick Woods Fellow of Downing College Cambridge and Divinity Lecturer in that University During the year the Reverend George Lanyon Hacker Chaplain at Warminster resigned on appointment to the Church of the Good Shepherd Ford Estate Sunderland The Council thanked him for his generous services during five years at St Boniface College In his place the Council appointed as Chaplain the Reverend John Michael Taylor assistant curate of Chorley Lancashire since 1959 The Council was pleased to hear that former student Mr Michael Anthony Knibb had been appointed Lecturer in Old Testament Studies by the Delegacy with special responsibilities for research and teaching in the inter-testamcntal period Members of the Faculty of Theology have contributed the following publications and articles during the session Professor Ackroyd Survey of Old Testament Literature' Theology SKM October 1963 'Jeremiah 1-16' The Journal of Theological Studies XIV October 1963 'The Fourth Congress of the International Organisation for the Study of the Old Testament Bonn 1962' The Expository Times LXXV October 1963 Ά Note of Isaiah 1' 75 1963 'Revising the Psalter' The Kingsman No 1963-64 The Land and the People' Companion to the Bible ed Η Rowley Τ Clark Edinburgh 1963 'Threefoldness in the Teaching of Jesus' The Expository Times LXXV July 1964 Reviews Eric Bishop Prophets of Palestine 1964 Jones Haggai Zechariah and Malachi 1964
