Annual Report of the Delegacy liii filled by lawyer Professor Fratcher of the University of Missouri and Professor Garretson of New York University both spending year in England on research were attached to the Faculty during their stay Professor Gray Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Canterbury New Zealand became Honorary visiting Professor for the year The second group was headed by Professor Crane who spent the calendar year 1964 as visiting professor and acting Dean at Canter- bury New Zealand and on research at Melbourne Professor Nokes acted as Vice-Dean in his absence Dr Kiralfy spent term at the Law Faculty of Leningrad under scheme of University interchange Mr Chloros spent six months studying in Yugo- slavia Rumania and Bulgaria under the auspices of the Hayter scheme for the promotion of studies in Eastern Europe He visited the uni- versities of Belgrade Llubljana Zagreb Novi Sad Sarajevo Bucharest and Sofia Both Dr Kiralfy and Mr Chloros attended court sittings and participated in legal activities in the countries they visited It is hoped that the contacts they made will be of value in developing Eastern European legal studies as part of the expanding programme of inter- national and comparative law in the Faculty Professor Graveson Mr Chloros Mr Morrison Mr Hughes and Dr Hickling each lectured at the University of Luxembourg Professor Graveson gave the general course at the Hague Academy of International Law and delivered individual lectures at the universities of Frankfurt Marburg Freiburg and the Free University of Berlin He also read paper at the annual meeting in Rome of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law Dr Ī¤ James held seminar at Manchester University on the Law and Adolescence and lectured at the Civil Service Course on the work of the Young People's Consultation Centre Mr Davies pre- sided at joint discussion week-end on Medicine and the Law organised by the Faculty and the London Medical Schools at Cumberland Lodge and attended by distinguished authorities He also gave an address on Police Interrogation to the British Academy of Forensic Sciences Dr Hickling lectured at the Working Men's College on 'Trade Unions and individual liberty' and Dr Mellows at the School of Military Intelligence on The Official Secrets Acts Mr Chloros was the guest of the Faculty of Law at Lausanne and participated as an examiner there in public thesis examination for Doctorate
