xxii Annual Report of the Delegacy Lindsay Lecturer in Electrical Engineering Dr -T Lyn Reader in Mechanical Engineering The Library Mr Shadrake Assistant Librarian King's College Hall Mr Payne Sub-Warden Halliday Hall Dr Μ Ridge Warden DEATHS OF FORMER MEMBERS OF THE COLLEGE The deaths of the following were reported during the session Dr Boswell Reader in Plant Physiology at the University of Sheffield King's College Faculty of Science 1926-31 The Reverend Calder former student of the Botany depart- ment Headmaster of Goole Grammar School 1931-38 Mr Calder was Headmaster of Mundella Grammar School Nottingham from 1938 to 1957 when he took Holy Orders He was ordained priest in 1958 Mr Chettoe Faculty of Engineering 1911-14 Chief Bridge Engineer in the Ministry of Transport and after his retirement con- suiting engineer for bridge and road works in Australia Sierra Leone Iraq and Malaya Mr Chettoe was an untiring supporter of the National Trust and the Councd for the Preservation of Rural England Dr Mabel Day Lecturer in the English department 1920-35 and for many years Secretary of the Early English Text Society Dr Hardman Professor of Pastoral and Liturgical Theology from 1932 until his retirement in 1942 Dr Hussey Faculty of Medical Science 1919-21 Before taking his medical course here Dr Hussey had been meteorologist with Sir Ernest Shackleton's expedition to the Antarctic Professor Edith Morley student here from 1892 to 1899 and Lecturer in English from 1899 to 1901 Miss Morley was afterwards on the staff of University College Reading where she was Professor of English from 1908 until her retirement in 1940 One of the first women to hold Chair in an English university Miss Morley was elected Fellow of King's College for Women in 1912 Sir Charles Odgers formerly Lecturer and Vice-Dean Faculty of Laws Mr Wdson Head of the Physics Department at Westminster Medical School He obtained First Class Honours in Physics at King's College in 1930 and his Sc in 1933
