General Information 81 37 No borrower shall take any book belonging to the Library outside the United Kingdom save with the special permission of the Librarian 38 The foregoing rules apply equally to the General Library and to the libraries which are accommodated in teaching departments save in such cases as the Library Committee may from time to time determine Student librarians appointed by the Librarian are responsible to him for the observance of these rules in the libraries which they supervise Residence There is no residential accommodation for students in the immediate vicinity of the College and students not living at home or with some responsible relative or friend are strongly advised to seek accommoda- tion at College or University hall of residence or in lodgings which have been inspected and classified by the University of London Lodgings Bureau list of halls of residence which offer accommodation to King's College students is given below and students wishing to live in any of them should write direct for an application form and further details As the number of vacancies occurring in halls each year is very limited applications for admission should be made as early as possible Stu- dents seeking lodging accommodation are urged to write to the Lodg- ings Bureau as soon as they know they will be requiring the assistance of the Lodgings Officer in finding accommodation HALLS OF RESIDENCE King's College Hostel Vincent Square Westminster SW1 This hostel is for men members of the Theological Faculty only In the four-year course for ordinands at King's College the third year must be spent in residence at the Hostel and the fourth year at the college at Warminster which was opened in July 1948 The Hostel in Vincent Square was built in 1913 and final wing with Chapel and Library was added in 1929 In addition to rooms for third-year students there is certain number of rooms available each year for junior members of the Faculty Provision is made for full board on Saturdays and Sundays and for breakfast tea and dinner on other days The inclusive charge for single room is £210 session payable in three terminal instalments of £70 For shared room the charge is £200 session For conditions of entry regulations etc application should be made to the Dean King's College Strand WC2
