viii Annual Report The Reverend Prebendary Richard Hanson Dean of King's College 1932-45 Chaplain and Tutor 1919-24 He was elected Fellow of the College in 1925 Mr Harley Accountant of the College from 1919 until his retirement in 1956 when he was made Fellow of the College Dr Hinkel member of staff in the Chemistry department from 1905 to 1921 when he was appointed to the staff of the new University College of Swansea Mr Laws Lecturer in Physics 1904-5 and later Principal of the Northampton Polytechnic Professor Lobban who was first appointed to the staff of the Faculty of Engineering in 1920 He was Professor of Civil and Mechanical Engineering from 1935 until his retirement in 1946 when he was elected Fellow of the College Professor Piper Emeritus Professor of Physics of the Univer- sity of Bristol and former student of this College who graduated with First Class Honours in 1910 Professor Relton Professor of Mathematics and Mechanics at the University of Cairo 1931-47 and afterwards Lecturer in Mathe- matics at this College from 1947 to 1954 fellows The following were appointed Fellows of the College Mr Terence Edward Cawthorne President of the Royal College of Medicine 1962-63 Consulting Adviser in Otolaryngology to the Ministry of Health Aural Surgeon at the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases Surgeon at the Ear Nose and Throat Department King's College Hospital student at King's College 1919-22 and 1927-28 Mr Cawthorne was later Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons and was Dean of King's College Hospital Medical School from 1946 to 1948 Professor James Greig ph William Siemens Professor of Electrical Engineering since 1945 Professor Gerald Dacre Nokes ll Professor of Law since 1955 former student of the College he was from 1933 to 1947 judge in the High Court of Travancore Southern India before returning to King's College as member of staff Professor Sir Eric Keightley Rideal sc ph Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College Following distinguished
