vi Annual Report Mr Ridge was promoted to be Senior Lecturer in Physiology Mr Lewis was promoted to be Lecturer in Physiology as from January ist 1963 Faculty of Engineering Mr Hawken Lecturer in Electrical Engineering as from May ist 1963 Dr Hussey Lecturer in Civil Engineering The title of Professor of Chemical Engineering was conferred on Mr Watkins Dr England was promoted to be Lecturer in Civil Engineering as from October ist 1962 The title of Reader in Electrical Engineering was conferred on Dr Ε Deeley Administration Mr Lcage Planning Officer Mr Campbell was promoted to be Assistant Registrar King's College Hall Mr Morton Warden Mr Ridge Sub-Warden Halliday Hall Dr Perkins Warden deaths of former members of the college Ihe College lost by death the service of three members of staff Professor Wooldridge sc died on April 25th 1963 at the age of 62 former student of the College Professor Wooldridge served on the staff of the Geology department until 1944 when he was appointed Professor of Geography at Birkbeck College In 1947 he returned to King's College to the chair of Geography the post he held until his death Professor Wooldridge had established him- self as probably the leading English physical geographer his dis- tinctions prizes and awards from learned societies had been as many as they were merited and in 1959 he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society Professor Wooldridge was pre-eminently 'King's man' throughout his career Fellow of the College since 1956 his election to the Presidency of the King's College London Association as recently as 1961 had given him the greatest pleasure He had deep interest in Theology and Music and for many outside the Geography department he will be remembered for his enthusiastic participation in and responsi- bility for the annual production of Gilbert and Sullivan opera seri-
