132 Faculties and Courses of Study For further details the faculty prospectus issued separately should be consulted SPECIAL NOTE FOR WOMEN STUDENTS In addition to entry to the course women students are also accepted for one-year course leading to the University of London Certificate of Proficiency in Religious Knowledge The regulations for this Certificate can be obtained from the Director of the Department of Extra-Mural Studies University of London Senate House London The course of study includes lectures in Old Testament New Testament Church History and New Testament Set Book but addi- tional lectures in elementary New Testament Greek Christian Doctrine and Prayer are also available Application for this course should not be made through the Univer- sities Central Council on Admissions but direct to the Tutor to Women Theological Students at King's College FOR ORDINATION CANDIDATES The course for the Diploma of Associateship of King's College exempts the holder from the General Ordination examination provided in general that he has resided for at least three terms in the hostel at Vincent Square and for the fourth year at St Boniface College War- minster CONDITIONS OF ENTRY DEGREE OR WITH Before admission an applicant must satisfy the University's general requirements The procedure to be followed is set out in the General Information section of the Calendar on page 63 There are no special requirements for men students for admission to the course but women applicants must have three Advanced level passes one of which should be Religious Knowledge and have Latin or Greek at least to the Ordinary level of the DIPLOMA Intending students for the course only will normally be re- quired to have passes in at least five subjects at the General Certificate of Education examination of which at least one subject must be at Advanced level and one must be English Language
