82 PRIZES-THEOLOGY RELTON PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1930 by Professor Herbert Maurice Relton in memory of his father the Rev Frederick Relton The Prize consists of books to the value of £4 10 The Prize will be awarded to the student obtaining the highest marks on the two papers in Biblical and Historical Theology at the final examination COUNCIL PRIZE IN CHURCH HISTORY This Prize was founded by the Council in 1961 The Prize will be to the value of £5 The Prize will be awarded to the student gaining the highest marks in the two papers one compulsory and one optional on Church History at the final examination BISHOP COLLINS MEMORIAL PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1920 by the Theological Society from funds subscribed by the colleagues and old students of William Edward Collins Bishop of Gibraltar Professor of Ecclesiastical History in King's College from 1893 to 1903 The Prize is of the value of £5 The Prize will be awarded to the student obtaining the highest marks on the paper in Church History at the final examination SHELFORD PRIZE Founded by the will of Mrs Alice Mary Shelford who died on April 12th 1950 and left £400 to provide prizes or otherwise for the assistance and encouragement of theological students of King's College London as memorial to her late husband the Reverend Leonard Edmund Shelford Two Prizes will be awarded each of books to the value of £11 The Prizes will be awarded to the Final Year student or students who in the opinion of the Head of the Department of the Philosophy of Religion shall have shown the best performance in this subject through- out their course in College
