SCHOLARSHIPS 73 VII-IN THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING SAMBROOKE SCHOLARSHIP IN ENGINEERING The conditions of award of the above College Entrance Scholarship are at present under review Any candidate who wishes further information regarding the above should write to the Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering SALOMONS SCHOLARSHIP This Scholarship which is at present of the value of £50 was founded in 1890 by Sir David Salomons Bart and is awarded by the Council of the Institution of Electrical Engineers to student of one of the following London Institutions University College Bang's College City and Guilds Central Technical College and the Finsbury Technical College who shall be recommended by his College as having distinguished himself in the study of Electrical Engineering and who purposes continuing his studies in that subject DAVID HUGHES SCHOLARSHIP This Scholarship which is of the value of £50 is given annually out of the legacy bequeathed to the Institution of Electrical Engineers by the late Professor David Hughes and is awarded on the same terms as the Salomons Scholarship
