general information 47 VIII-International Hall An intercollegiate hall of residence for 270 men students Fees £150 or £161 5s session Applications to the Warden International Hall Brunswick Square IX-Nutford House Nutford House University hall of residence has accommodation for 192 women students mainly in single study-bedrooms The fees for session of approximately 30 weeks are Single room £150 share of double room £135 All meals except lunch Monday to Friday Applications enclosing stamped addressed foolscap envelope should be made to the Warden Nutford House Brown Street off George Street during the spring term for admission the following October X-Lodgings The University of London Lodgings Bureau Malet St London MUSeum 2818 issues leaflets with the names and addresses of the above and other Halls Students whose homes are not in London and who need lodgings are also invited to consult the Bureau it acts in purely advisory capacity All addresses on the Register which covers most London districts are visited and carefully classified Every effort is made to meet the requirements of each student but owing to the great demand for rooms in London it is not possible to guarantee that the exact type of accommodation desired can be pro- vided Unfurnished rooms are outside the province of the Bureau The Lodgings Officer prefers to see students during term time but from July to October they should apply by post giving details of the type of accommodation required when every effort will be made to provide an address at which there is suitable vacancy Interview hours are between 10 30 and noon and from 30 to Saturday afternoons excepted It is necessary to make an appointment well in advance STUDENTS' LOCKERS Locker Keys are issued under the following conditions Each Regular Student is entitled to locker for the period of his academic course provided this does not exceed five years deposit of ten shillings is charged which will be returned to the student upon his leaving College provided he empties the locker and returns the key If the key be not returned 6e ore the student leaves College the deposit will be forfeited Each student will be required to pay for any wilful damage to his locker or drawer No tradesman may be brought in to repair such damage duph'cate key of each locker is kept in the College Office In no circumstances may duplicate keys be made by or on behalf of students Any student losing his key will be required to pay 5s for new lock broken key should be brought to the College Office when it will be replaced No other lockers or drawers may be used other than those provided by the College These lockers are provided for the convenience of students but the College cannot be responsible for the loss of property not placed in the charge of the recognized porters
