UNIVERSITY OF LONDON KING'S COLLEGE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE DELEGACY FOR THE SESSION 1961-62 Presented to the Court and the Senate of the University of London A-GENERAL REPORT THE DELEGACY The following new appointments to the Delegacy were made by the Senate in the course of the session Professor Hey Assistant Principal from October lst 1962 in succession to Professor Williams retired Professor Graveson representative of the Professorial Board in place of Professor Maguinness who retired in rotation Dr Armstrong in place of Dr Chapman The Hon Sir Arthur Howard was re-elected Chair- man and Sir Angus Gillan was re-elected Vice- Chairman and Treasurer The following were elected to serve on the Finance Committee of the Delegacy Sir John Evans in place of Sir Charles Jeffries who retired from the committee Professor Hey from October lst 1962 CHANGES IN THE STAFF Resignations and Retirements The College loses by resignation and retirement at the end of the session several senior members of staff who have each in their different capacities given invaluable service to the College These include Pro- fessor Bennet-Clark and Professor Danielli who are taking up appointments elsewhere Dr Dolley retiring after thirty- nine years of devoted service to the Chemistry department during part of which time he was Officer Commanding the University Mr Combridge Registrar and Professor Williams Assistant Principal The Delegacy were unanimous in directing that the following entries should be recorded in the Minutes of their meeting in June 1962 ×™ Mr Combridge -King's College is losing at the end of the present session one of the most devoted and loyal members of staff it has ever been privileged to have the Registrar Mr Combridge He first became associated with the College when he came from St John's
