222 FACULTY OF THEOLOGY OCCASIONAL STUDENTS Persons who desire to study any branch or branches of Theology or to receive partial assistance in preparation for the degree may be admitted subject to the approval of the Dean as Occasional students to such lectures as they desire to attend ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS or with Before admission an applicant must satisfy the University general requirements The Procedure to be followed is set out under General Information on page 42 There are no special requirements at King's College for admission to the degree Course Intending students for the course only will normally be required to have passed in at least five subjects at General Certificate of Education examination of which at least one must be passed at Advanced Level one of these subjects must be English Language ADMISSION PROCEDURE Applicants from the United Kingdom seeking admission to courses in the Faculty should apply to the Dean of King's College in the first instance and in addition are advised to consult the booklet Getting into University issued to schools and others by the Universities Central Council on Admissions 29 Tavistock Square London Applica- tion forms will be available in schools from the beginning of the autumn term 1963 One form will suffice for all the universities and colleges served by this Council and must be returned to the Council before December 31st Only applicants who have left school should write to the Central Office for form The form will be accompanied by full instructions for completing it All subsequent correspondence with the College concerning entry should be sent direct to the Dean of the College in the case of men and to the Tutor to Women Theological Students in the case of women and should clearly indicate the appli- cant's serial number and any course for which application has been made Overseas applicants should in 1963-64 continue to apply to the universities and colleges of their choice either direct or through the offices of the High Commissioner Embassy or Consulate according to current arrangements Notes Applications for admission will be received until lst March of the year in which admission is desired ii Accommodation the Dean will arrange accommoda- tion for those students who are not able to live at home and there
