CLASSES 179 BIOCHEMISTRY Head of the Department Professor Harry Harris The following courses of instruction are given Lectures in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry 1st year -Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry 2nd year -Biochemistry Michaelmas and Lent terms Practical Classes in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry run in conjunction with the lectures Courses of Biochemistry Theory and Practical as part of the course for Sc Special Physiology Facilities are offered to suitable graduates to proceed to the degrees of Sc and Ph in Biochemistry All enquiries should be addressed to the Head of the Department PHARMACOLOGY Head of the Department Professor George Brownlee Sc Ph The following courses of instruction are given systematic course of lectures in autonomic Pharmacology First year -Easter term course of lectures in general Pharmacology supplemented by lecture-demonstrations and films Second year -Michaelmas and Lent terms An experimental course in practical Pharmacology with individual tutorial instruction Second year -Michaelmas and Lent terms course of lectures in Pharmacology and Applied Pharmacology and practical course in Pharmacology for dental students Easter term course of lectures in Applied Pharmacology for clinical students at King's College Hospital and Westminster Hospital Easter term Examinations -Class examinations are held at the end of the Easter and Michaelmas terms special course in Pharmacology consisting of tutorials and semi- nars together with practical work is provided in the Lent term for those students taking the Sc Special degree in Physiology Facilities are offered to suitable graduates to proceed to the degrees of Sc and Ph in Pharmacology All enquiries should be addressed to the Head of the Department
