162 FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCE Courses in two of the fallowing optional subjects Au-Mathematical Geography and Surveying A14-Geomorphology A15-Meteorology and Climatology A16-Plant Geography 7-Economic Geography 8-Historical Geography A19-History of Geographical Science and Discovery Aj0-Political Geography Aj -Geography of Settlement 3rd Year A22-As above A23-Advanced Regional Geography-Africa A24-Advanced Regional Geography-Monsoon Asia A2S-Advanced Regional Geography-North America A23-A25 are alternative options Aj -Aerial Photography in Geographical Studies Optional -Seminar -Tutorial work at times to be arranged Intercollegiate course in one of the following optional subjects A27-Mathematical Geography and Surveying A28-Geomorphology A20-Meteorology and Climatology A30-Plant Geography A3 -Economic Geography A32-Historical Geography A33-History of Geographical Ideas and Discovery Aj4-Political Geography AjS-Geography of Settlement A3 -Applied Geography Those taking Geography under the regulations in Arts must also take two-year course in Subsidiary subject Science students must similarly take two-year course in an Ancillary subject These subjects may be selected from the lists published in the University regulations preferably Geology in the case of Science students and Geology or History in the case of Arts students Field Work Students in all courses are required to give satisfactory evidence of having received adequate instruction in the field and field classes at which attendance is compulsory will be arranged during the session As an alternative to one of the courses A13-A2 candidates may write dissertation not exceeding 5000 words in length on an approved geographical subject This should contain the results of some original investigation by the candidate and is submitted in the third year as one paper in the Final examination
