lii FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCE In the second and third years of the course King's College candidates must take two subjects chosen from the groups set out below At least one subject must be taken from Group except that candidate may take Astronomy with Pure and Applied Mathematics or ii with the approval of the University after consideration of indivi- dual applications Pure and Applied Mathematics with Geography Group Chemistry Physics Geology Group Β Pure and Applied Mathematics Geography Astronomy Psychology The choice of subjects at King's College will also be affected by the following requirements Any subject other than Astronomy offered in Part II must also have been taken in Part Candidates taking Part II Physics must have taken Part Mathe- matics Candidates taking Part II Chemistry must have taken Part Physics The Part II Examination in the two subjects studied in the second and third years will be taken at the end of the third year Candidates must pass in both subjects on the same occasion and in subjects where practical examination is held must satisfy the examiners in both the practical examination and in the written papers The following combinations of subjects will normally be provided at King's College Main Subjects Third Subject in Part only Mathematics Physics Chemistry or Geology or Geo- graphy or Psychology Mathematics Chemistry Physics Physics Chemistry Mathematics Chemistry Geology Physics Geology Geography Physics Physics Geography Mathematics Note Combinations of subjects involving Biology Botany Physi ology or Zoology cannot at present be provided For Psychology or Astronomy arrangements would have to be made at another college
