COURSES OF STUDY 143 Chemistry Chemistry Physios and either Mathematics Pure and Applied or Pure Mathematics An entrance test will be held in February 1964 Candidates required to take this test will be informed in due course Geology Any three Science subjects included in the list of subjects for entry to the Sc General degree course Geography Any three Science subjects included in the list of subjects for entry to the BSc General degree course Botany Botany or Biology Chemistry and one of Mathematics or Physics or Zoology Zoology may not be taken with Biology Candidates may also be required to take an entrance test Zoology Three Science subjects chosen from the list of subjects for entry to the Sc General degree course Candidates are advised to offer Physics Chemistry and either Zoology or Biology Candidates may also be required to take an entrance test All candidates selected for this test will be officially notified by the Sub- Dean or the Tutor to Women Students of the day and time when they should attend Subjects taken in various degree courses General Degree Course The course is divided into two sections and the examination is taken in two parts Part is taken after one-year course in three subjects and Part II after further two-year course in two subjects In the first year of the course King's College candidates must take three of the following subjects Mathematics Chemistry Psychology Physics Geology Geography candidate who offers Geography must also offer Physics Part Examination in the three subjects selected must be passed at the end of the first year Reference in one subject is not allowed Candidates who have passed only in Pure Mathematics wiU be required to produce evidence of satisfactory knowledge of Applied Mathematics mora particularly Dynamics oourse in Psychology for Part may be taken at Birkbeck College on an intercollegiate basis
