142 FACULTY OF NATURAL SCIENCE Sc General degree courses Before entry to the course for the General Degree Revised Regula- tions candidates must satisfy the University's general requirements and will generally be expected to have passed in three science subjects at Advanced Level chosen from the following list The subjects passed at Advanced Level must include at least one of the following Biology Botany Chemistry Geology Physics Zoology Mathematics Pure and Applied may not be included with either Pure Mathematics or Applied Mathematics Biology may not be included with Botany or Zoology Candidates may also be considered if they have passed in two science subjects at Advanced Level and one at Ordinary Level but cannot be accepted at King's College unless their choice of General Degree subjects conforms with the following requirements Applicants wishing to take in the General Degree course Mathematics in Part I-must have either Pure Mathematics or Mathematics Pure and Applied at Advanced Level Mathematics in Part II-must have either Mathematics Pure and Applied or both Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Advanced Level Physics-must have Physics at Advanced Level Chemistry-must have Chemistry at Advanced Level Geography-must have Geography at Advanced or Ordinary Level For entry to the following Special Degree courses candidates will be required to have passed at Advanced Level in General Certificate examination or at main standard in Higher School Certificate in the subjects indicated below Mathematics Pure Mathematics Applied Mathematics and another Science subject preferably Physics Candidates selected for interview will be given an oral test Physics Physics Pure Mathematics Applied Mathematics together with Chemistry at either Advanced or Ordinary level or ii Physics Chemistry Pure Mathematics together with Applied Mathe- matics at either Advanced or Ordinary level or iii Physics Chemistry Mathematics Pure and Applied Pure Mathematics Applied Mathematics Mathematics Pure and Applied Physics Chemistry Geology Geography Botany Zoology Biology Sc Special degree courses
