PRIZES 79 II-IN THE FACULTY OF THEOLOGY A-Prizes open to all Regular Students of the College BARRY PRIZES The Barry Prizes in Divinity were founded by the friends and former pupils of the Right Rev Alfred Barry formerly Principal of King's College Prizes are now offered in the Faculties of Theology Arts Laws Natural Science Medical Science and Engineering These Prizes are administered by the Council and the regulations at present in force are the following Each Prize consists of books to the value of £L-tes The Prize in the Faculty of Theology is open to all regular students and is given to the student who passes with most distinction in the Examination in the Prayer-book at the close of the Easter term In the Faculties of Arts Laws Natural Science Medical Science and Engineering five prizes will be offered annually to the regular students who have attended satisfactorily the general Theological Lectures open to all students of the College and who in the opinion of the Dean of King's College have obtained the best results in the examination on those lectures The award will be made without regard to the student's sex or year in College No student may receive this Prize second time except in the case of student who has obtained it before joining the Department of Theology Such student may afterwards obtain it in that Department TRENCH GREEK TESTAMENT PRIZE The friends and former pupils of the Most Reverend Richard Chenevix Trench Archbishop of Dublin formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament at King's College presented to the College the sum of £156 for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize consists of Books to the value of £6 The Prize will be awarded to the student gaining the highest marks in the two New Testament papers at the final examination
