χ ANNUAL ΕΕΡΟΚΤ Benefactions The Council has received two generous gifts towards the proposed new Professorship of Moral and Social Theology £5 000 from Miss Beausire and £5 000 from Miss Beausire Income Income and Expenditure Account The income from fees amounted to £10 885 During the session there were increases in the salaries of both teaching and of administrative staff but there was saving on maintenance where repairs and decorations were exceptionally heavy last year As consequence the year's working showed surplus of £4 434 compared with surplus of £3 662 last year Corporation General Fund Account Income was received from the usual sources and after meeting expenses the account showed surplus of £460 which will be trans- ferred to the Special Reserve Fund King's College Hostel On July 31st 1959 net surplus of £164 was carried forward During 1959-60 vacation lettings brought in £2 065 compared with £2 020 in 1958-59 The total income for 1959-60 was £13 116 com- pared with £13 055 last year Expenditure showed saving £12 959 compared with £13 212 last year Under the annual provision for Repairs and Decorations there was saving of £206 which has been set off against the excess expenditure over the annual provision which now stands at £560 The year's working showed surplus of £157 compared with deficit of exactly the same amount last year The net surplus carried forward at July 31st 1960 was therefore £527 King's College at St Boniface College Warminster On July 31st 1959 the accumulated surplus carried forward was £3 998 During the present year the total income amounted to £13 586 compared with £13 408 in 1958-59 Expenditure for the current year was £12 782 against last year's figure of £11 445 The result of the year's working was surplus of £804 compared with surplus of £1 963 last year leaving an accumulated surplus of £4 802 at July 31st 1960
