42 GENERAL INFORMATION RELATING TO KING'S COLLEGE AS WHOLE The building adjoins Somerset House and includes property in the Strand Surrey Street and Temple Approach It is easily reached by any of the numerous bus services passing it along the Strand or along the Victoria Embankment and from Temple station or from Aldwych station of the Underground railway The building includes the Chapel the Great Hall the large Lecture Theatre lecture rooms for all College classes museums libraries laboratories for practical work in all sub- jects anatomical rooms and workshops King's College by the King's College London Transfer Act 1908 is incorporated in the University of London in all Faculties except Theology and provides courses in Theology in the Faculty of Arts The Theological Department is School of the University in the Faculty of Theology The College is under the general supervision of the Principal each Faculty being under the special superintendence of one of the Professors annually appointed as its Dean The Theological Department is under the supervision of the Dean of King's College Students of the College are either Regular or Occasional Regular Students are those admitted to the regular and full courses of study prescribed in their respective Faculties Occasional Students are those who while not attending complete course are desirous of studying any particular subject or subjects They are required to submit themselves to the same discipline as regular students whilst in the precincts of the College At present Occasional Students are admitted only in very exceptional circumstances The attention of all intending applicants is directed to the following paragraphs dealing with entry to the University and the College Before admission an applicant must satisfy the University minimum entrance requirements and any additional University or College requirements for direct entry to specific degree courses these additional requirements are set out later in the respective Faculty sections Intending applicants should consult the Regulations Relating to University Entrance Requirements Copies should be available in schools but if they are not copy can be obtained from the Secretary to the University Entrance Requirements Department University of London Senate House If an applicant is given firm as opposed to provisional offer of place at King's College he will be re- quired to complete Form Μ and to submit it to the University Entrance Requirements Department If his qualifications are satisfactory he will receive statement that he will be eligible to matriculate on registration as an Internal or External Student This statement must be sent to the CoUege with or soon after any acceptance of firm offer of place His Matriculation fee of £3 3s will be charged at the same time as his registration fee and tuition fee for the first session or term and his Matriculation will be completed at the same time as he is registered as an Internal or External Student of the University This registration is effected by the student's completing Registra- tion Schedule on the occasion of his being enrolled by the Dean or
