vi ANNUAL REPORT Cambridge Sir Ernest was Life Governor of King's College London memorial service was held in the College chapel on March 18th 1960 The Rt Reverend Harold Bradfield Lord Bishop of Bath and Wells on Sunday May lst 1960 former student of the Theo- logical Department he was Life Governor of King's College London and shortly before his death he had been elected President of the King's College London Association memorial service was held in the College chapel on May 25th 1960 Sir Charlton Briscoe Bt on February 28th 1960 at the age of 85 former student in the Faculty of Medicine Sir Charlton had distinguished career at King's College Hospital and at the Royal College of Physicians Former Staff Mr Chatfield Lecturer in Laws from 1934 until his retirement in 1947 Dr Laistner Reader in Ancient History 1921-25 and sub- sequently Professor of Ancient History at Cornell University Dr Moore Professor Emeritus of Glass Technology in the Uni- versity of Sheffield He was Assistant Lecturer in Physics at this college from 1908 to 1915 Mr Pollard Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics 1928-30 before taking post in the University of Cape Town where he had recently been promoted to be Associate Professor Former Students Sir Ernest Rock Carling student in the Faculty of Medicine from 1899 to 1902 He later became Dean of Westminster Hospital Medical School Mr Cottrall Sc member of the Technical Section of the British Paper and Board Makers' Association of which he was Chairman 1946-48 Mr Froud who obtained First Class Honours in Zoology in 1936 He was on the staff of the University College of Ghana at the time of his death Mr Hinde who obtained his Sc Eng in 1958 was killed in motor accident on December 24th 1959 Mr Jacottet who for thirty-six years until his retirement in 1955 was modern languages master at Brentwood School Mr Wilkinson student in the department of Geography 1929-32 and Education Officer for Ealing from 1957 until his death FELLOWS The following were appointed Fellows of the College Sir John Evans Sc who graduated from the College in 1925 with First Class Honours in Chemistry He entered the office
