prizes-THEOLOGY 83 BISHOP COLLINS MEMORIAL PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1920 by the Theologioal Society from funds subscribed by the colleagues and old students of William Edward Collins Bishop of Gibraltar Professor of Ecclesiastical History in King's College from 1893 to 1903 The Prize which is of the value of £2 10s is open to regular students of the Theological Faculty in their second and third year course for the final examination No student may obtain the Prize second time The Prize will be awarded for the best Essay submitted by the candidates on prescribed subject in Ecclesiastical History Essays must be sent to the Secretary of the College not later than date to be announced on the Faculty notice-board Subject for Session 1957-58 The Church in Roman Africa to 313 Subject for Session 1958-59 St Augustine's City of God" with special reference to Book XIX Candidates are recommended to use Barrow Introduction to St Augustine The City of God Faber Faber RELTON PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1930 by Professor Herbert Maurice Relton in memory of his father the Rev Frederick Relton The Prize consists of books to the value of £4 The Prize is open to all regular students of the Theological Faculty The Prize will be awarded annually for an essay on subject within the scope of Dogmatic Theology The subject will be posted on the College Screens in the Michaelmas term The essays must be sent to the Secretary of the College not later than the first day of the Easter term Subject for Session 1957-58 An estimate of the significance of Anselm's Cur Deus Homo in the development of Christian thought about the work of Christ Subject for Session 1958-59 The significance of Apollinaris for the development of orthodox Christology
