PRIZES 79 examination on those lectures The award will be made without regard to the student's sex or year in College No student may receive this Prize second time except in the case of student who has obtained it before joining the Department of Theology Such student may afterwards obtain it in that Department TRENCH GREEK TESTAMENT PRIZE The friends and former pupils of the Most Reverend Richard Chenevix Trench Archbishop of Dublin formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament at King's College presented to the College the sum of £156 for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize consists of Books to the value of £6 The Prize is open to all regular students of all Faculties and is awarded for knowledge of the New Testament Two papers will be set containing passages for translation from Greek into English and English into Greek and questions on textual criticism grammar exegesis introduction to the books of the New Testament and the formation of the Canon The Examination will be held in the opening week of the Easter Term and names must be sent to the Secretary of the College by the close of the Lent Term No student may receive the Prize second time McCAUL HEBREW AND OLD TESTAMENT PRIZES The friends and former pupils of the Reverend Alexander McCaul presented to the College the sum of £250 for the purpose of founding Prizes which should bear his name The Prizes consist of Books of the value of £6 and £4 respec- tively The Senior Prize is open to all graduates and Associates of the College who have studied in the College for not less than two sessions and are not of more than three years' standing since taking their degree or Associateship in the College The Junior Prize is open to regular students of all Faculties of the College who have completed two years as regular students No student may obtain either of these prizes second time but Junior Prizeman may compete for the Senior Prize subsequently if otherwise qualified The Examination for the Senior Prize will be held at the end of the Lent term There will be two papers Translation from the canonical books of the Old Testament Grammar and Composition ii Theology and Criticism of the canonical books of the Old Testament
