50 GENERAL INFORMATION Books must not be borrowed for the use of any person other than the borrower borrower shall be responsible for the replacement of any book lost or injured while in his possession or for the payment of such fine as may be determined by the Principal If the book be one of set or series the borrower may be called upon to replace the whole set or series The current or latest numbers of periodicals dictionaries encyclo- psedias grammars or books marked as reserved must not be removed from the Library and students referring to these books and periodicals must replace them after use Rare or valuable books are issued only at the discretion of the Librarian Teaching Staff Members of the Teaching Staff are entitled to have in their possession not more than twelve volumes at one time and shall not retain any volume for period exceeding three months from the date of issue The Librarian shall be entitled to recall any book required by another reader after it has been in the possession of member of the Teaching Staff for fortnight 10 Members of the Teaching Staff are entitled to renew their vouchers for books not wanted by other readers but all Library books in their possession must be produced for checking before the end of each Easter term Students 11 Regular Students are entitled to have in their possession not more than three volumes at one time and shall not retain any volume for period exceeding fourteen days from the day of issue 12 Books returned by Regular Students shall not be issued to the same student within period of seven days from the date of return except on the recommendation of the Head of Department Vacations 13 Students must return all books borrowed from the Library at least six days before the end of term regardless of the date of issue The issue of books for the vacation will begin five days before the end of term and they must be returned not later than the seventh day of the following term
