Vlll annual report fellows The following were appointed Fellows of the College Professor Henry Thomas Flint who was student at University College Cardiff and after war service at University College Reading He was appointed to Lectureship in the Physics Department here in 1920 and to Readership in 1927 He was the effective Head of the Department of Physics during Professor Ellis's leave of absence 1941- 44 and acting Head 1944-45 after being appointed Professor of Physics at Bedford College in 1944 He retired in 1956 see also Distinctions and Appointments Mr Herbert Sidney Harley Accountant of King's College London from 1919 to 1956 see also Retirements He first entered the service of the College in 1911 Mr Roy Moore student of the College from 1925 to 1931 He obtained the degree with Honours in English in 1927 the Teacher's Diploma in 1928 and the in 1931 He was Headmaster of the Laurence Sheriff School from 1945 to 1951 since when he has been Headmaster of Mill Hill School Professor Sidney William Wooldridge who was student first at Birkbeck College and later at this College He obtained the Sc degree with First Class Honours in Geology in 1921 the Sc in 1923 and the Sc in 1927 He has held the following appointments in the College-Demonstrator in Geology from January 1922 Assistant Lec- turer and Demonstrator from January 1925 Lecturer in Geology and Geography from August 1927 Reader in Geography from April 1942 He was Professor of Geography at Birkbeck College from 1943 to 1947 when he was appointed to the Chair of Geography at this College He held commission in the during the war while serving with the College at Bristol distinctions and appointments gained by past and present members of the college Fellows -The Principal of King's College was appointed member of the General Dental Council The title of Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering was con- ferred by the University of London on Dr Davies Sc Ph Mech formerly Head of the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering and at present Deq of the Royal Military College of Science Dr Η Davies LL was appointed Commissioner of Assize on the North-East Circuit Durham The title of Professor Emeritus of Physics in the University of London was conferred upon Professor Η Flint Ph Sc Camb see Fellows Mr Negus Sambrooke Scholar in Medicine from 1906 to 1910 at present Consulting Surgeon of the Ear Nose and
