FACULTY OF THEOLOGY 213 Intending students of all categories whether they have been in the Armed Forces or in civilian life are now required CT in addition to being accepted by the Professorial Board to gain acceptance of their candidature for Holy Orders and be recommended for training by selectors appointed by the Bishops through the Central Advisory Council of Training for the Ministry At the same time as application is made to King's College students should therefore make their cases known to the Secretary of Church House Dean's Yard Westminster In December 1947 the Central Advisory Council of Training for the Ministry recommended to the Bishops that King's Course eSe ordinand should not be regarded as having com- pleted his training unless he has gone through the entire course prescribed by King's College This recommendation was unanimously adopted by the Diocesan Bishops in January 1948 At its meeting in March 1948 the Council of King's College adopted the following regulations governing attendance at Warminster to interpret the recommendation of the Bishops as advised by the That men over 40 be excused attendance at Warminster for more than the Long Vacation term and in special cases be granted complete exemption That men of ages from 30 to 40 inclusive be required to attend for two terms only That men under 30 be required to attend for the full four terms The above regulations define the lengths of the courses prescribed by King's College for the various categories of ordinand in the Theological Department and the College Testamur will by the Council's decision not be awarded until the prescribed attendance at Warminster has been completed Courses of study and research are arranged for candidates reading More for the degrees of Th and Ph in Theology The Advanced Professors also conduct seminars for advanced work in Study the various branches of Theology Students should write to the Academic Registrar University of London Senate House for the regulations for internal students mentioning the degree for which they wish to work Women students are prepared for the degree the University Women 'j0n on Dipl ma in Theology and the University Cer- Students tificate in Religious Knowledge Particulars are given below and in separate leaflet
