181 The procedure to be followed with regard to matriculation and registration as an internal student is the same for all Faculties and is outlined above under General Information on page 42 Final Sc Engineering -University Regulations The examination for the degree of Sc Engineering both Pass and Honours shall consist of three parts namely Part Part II and Part III The fees for entry to these Parts are guineas for Part guineas each for Parts II III for re-entry in one subject of Parts or II see and 11 below guineas for re-entry for course work guinea For examination in supplementary subject the fee is guineas The entry form when completed must be forwarded together with the fee to the Academic Registrar of the University not later than 20th February after which date no entry can be received candidate who withdraws from the examination before the last date of entry may receive back the fee paid less guinea No refund will be made of entry fees of guinea or less candidate who withdraws from the examination after the last date of entry but not later than May may receive back half the fee paid or where this fee is more than guineas he may receive back the fee paid less guineas No refund will be made of entry fees of guinea or less The time-table of the examination will be furnished by the University to each candidate showing both the time and place of the examination in each subject The examiners shall be at liberty to test any candidate by means of oral questions Before admission to the course an applicant must satisfy not only the University's minimum entrance requirements in accordance with the Regulations but also the University's additional requirements for entry to the course of study for the degree of Sc Engineering To comply with these additional requirements an applicant must have passed in the following subjects at General Certificate of Education Examination or approved equivalent Mathematics Pure and Applied Advanced Level ii Physics iii Chemistry at Ordinary or Advanced Level These requirements are based on passes in subjects at the London Examination statements of the equivalence of subjects in other examinations are set out in appendices in the leaflet Regulations relating to University Entrance Requirements obtainable from The Secretary to the University Entrance Requirements Department University of London Senate House Malet Street London An applicant who has satisfied minimum entrance requirements and has passed an Inter- mediate examination of any University in Great Britain or Northern Ireland or such other Universities as may be approved for this purpose in the appropriate subjects may apply for admission as an Internal Student and for permission to proceed to tbe Sc Eng degree
