178 FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCE Yt-Tutorial Classes Michaelmas Lent and Easter terms S-Physiology for Dental Students Δ separate course is held for Dental Students whole session A-Research etc The laboratory is available to any who wish to carry out original investigations and instruction will be given to those who require it Details may be obtained from the Professor Sc Special Degeee in Physiology Special facilities are given to selected medical students who wish to take this degree which they may do on completion of their 2nd examination and before they commence their hospital work This course in which several of the other Schools of the University take part is recommended to those who are likely later to seek appoint- ments in tho many allied branches of medical science For this degree the practical subjects comprise Experimental Physiology and choice of two others drawn from Biochemistry Histology Human Physiology or Pharmacology Students taking this course should make themselves acquainted with the syllabus and regulations which may be found in the University Red Book The following points should be noted Students taking the Sc Special course must become Registered Internal Students in the Faculty of Natural Science immediately on commencing the course To be an Internal Student of King's College for the Sc Special examination the candidate must have passed the 2nd examination as an Internal Student Higher Degrees Facilities are offered to suitable graduates to proceed to the degrees of Sc or Ph in Physiology THEOLOGY Head of the Department The Dean of King's College Under the terms of the King's College London Transfer Act 1908 the Council is required to provide weekly lecture in Theology The time-tables are so arranged as to allow any student who wishes it to attend these lectures but no one may be compelled to do so To meet this requirement the lectures are delivered on Mondays at 10 The lectures are designed for students desiring the Associateship of King's College and are provided without extra fee For the regulations governing the award of the Associateship to non- theological students see 44
