COURSES OF STUDY 131 above nor may they take both Constitutional Laws of the Common- wealth and II The Examiners may in addition examine the candidate orally on any part of his work or they may set three-hour paper on the wider aspects of the Dissertation Ill-FOR THE ACADEMIC POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA The University grants an Academic Postgraduate Diploma in Law to graduates of London and other approved universities who have attended course of study in the University of London extending over not less than one year and have passed the prescribed examination Before admission to the course applicants must submit for approval by the University evidence of their qualifications which should include preliminary training in law and an adequate knowledge of English candidate may obtain the Academic Postgraduate Diploma in Law either By passing at one and the same examination in three subjects one from each of the groups enumerated below English Legal Method or with the permission of the Uni- versity one of the subjects for the time being which can be offered for the Master of Laws degree examination II One of the following- General Principles of the Law of Contract and Tort General Principles of Equity Elements of British Public Law III One of the following- General Principles of the Law of Contract and Tort General Principles of Equity Elements of British Public Law Conflict of Laws Comparative Law Muhammadan Law Hindu Law International Economic Law Law of International Institutions Shipping Law No candidate shall be entitled to select subject from Group III which he has also selected from Group II No candidate shall be entitled to take the examination in Shipping Law unless he also takes the examina- tion in General Principles of the Law of Contract and Tort or By passing the examination in English Legal Method or with the permission of the University in one of the subjects for the
