COURSES OF STUDY 183 shall be allowed to present himself for the examination in that subject at subsequent Part examination candidate who takes his referred subject at the same time as Part II of the examination and fails in the referred subject but otherwise satisfies the examiners in Part II will be credited with Part II and allowed to complete Part by passing in the referred subject alone at some future examination for Part Candidates who have satisfied the examiners in the Part examina- tion or have been referred in one subject under Section shall be eligible to present themselves for the Part II examination after having satisfactorily attended approved courses extending over not less than one academic year subsequent to the Part examination in each of the subjects offered for the Part II examination The subjects of the Part II examination shall be as follows Theory and Design of Machines One paper of three hours Hydraulics do Theory of Heat Engines Two papers of three hours each Theory and Design of Structures do Geodesy and Quantities do Design and Construction of Public Works do Electrical Technology do Electrical Theory do Engineering Geology One paper of three hours Engineering Metallurgy do Mathematics Two papers of three hours each In each subject excepting Engineering Geology Engineering Metal- lurgy and Mathematics the examination shall include the examination of Course Work 10 Candidates will be required to satisfy the examiners in not less than six of the seven subjects grouped as below and these six must include Mathematics Subjects Group Civil Theory and Design of Machines Hydraulics Theory and Design of Structures Geodesy and Quantities Design and Construction of Public Works Mathematics Engineering Geology Group Î’ Mechanical Theory and Design of Machines Hydraulics Theory and Design of Structures Theory of Heat Engines Electrical Technology Mathematics Engineering Metallurgy
