146 FEES All fees are payable in advance A-Registration Fees Registration Fee of £1 Is must be paid by each fuU-time student upon acceptance by the Dean of the Faculty This fee is not returnable and in the event of non-entry it is forfaited In addition further charge of £1 18 is made to each Overseas Student upon acceptance this is deducted from the general Tuition Fees upon entry but in the event of non-entry it is forfeited Registration Fee of 5s is charged to Occasional Students on their first entry to the College in any session Β-Fees for Regular Undergraduate Courses Tuition Fees So General or Special except in Mathematics -£52 10 per annum Sc Special in Mathematics -£35 14s per annum The Tuition Fees are reduced by 20 per cent in the case of boys who enter the College direct from King's College School or from Strand School provided they produce certificate stating that they have attended at least five terms in the School Subject to the approval of the Dean of the Faculty and of the lecturer concerned regular student in this Faculty of the College may take any one class in any other Faculty without extra tuition fee Laboratory Fees For the use of ordinary materials as distinct from apparatus students using laboratories pay an inclusive fee of £3 3s per annum for each year of Sc Special or Sc General course Students taking Sc Special Chemistry pay also hiring fee of 10s Qd year which is deducted from their Apparatus Deposits These fees are not returnable Apparatus Deposits Students taking the Sc Special course in Chemistry are provided with sets of apparatus for which they pay deposit of £3 3s in the first year of the course and £4 4s in subsequent years These sums are returnable less the hiring fees of 10s 6d for each year and any charge for loss or breakages All students taking Chemistry other than those pursuing Sc Special course in Chemistry pay deposit of £2 2s for locker and apparatus supplied This sum is returnable at the end of the course less any charge for replacements All students taking Botany as one subject in degree course pay deposit of £2 2s This sum is returnable at the end of the course less any charge for replacements Students who are authorised to attend Intercollegiate courses entailing laboratory work at Imperial College are required to deposit £2 against loss or breakages of apparatus lent
