124 Faculty οί laws LL COURSE The full course for the LL degree extends over three years The Intermediate Examination is taken at the end of the first year and the two parts of the Final Examination at the ends of the second and third years respectively Particulars of these examinations will be found below under the heading Courses of Study Evening students may be allowed to spread their Intermediate course over two years instead of one and their Final course over three years instead of two for the same composition fee of 71 guineas to cover the full course provided that no course is repeated LL The full course for the LL degree extends over two years An applicant for admission to the College as an internal student for the LL degree must be an internal graduate in Laws of the University of London or an external graduate in Laws of the University of London or graduate of another university who has been registered under the University Regulations for Postgraduate Students proceeding to Higher Degree This applies to graduates of universities in Great Britain and Northern Ireland the Dominions and Colonies and of foreign universities Applications for admission and for registration by the University should be submitted to the College if possible in the session before that in which the applicant wishes to commence his course of study candidate may obtain the LL degree either by passing at one and the same Examination in any five of the fourteen subjects enumerated below under the heading Courses of Study II-For Higher Degrees or in special cases by passing at one and the same Examination in any three of these fourteen subjects and in addition sub- mitting dissertation not earlier than the expiration of two calendar years from the time of his taking the LL degree Ph candidate for registration for the Ph degree in Laws must be graduate of the University or have passed certain approved examinations and must be able to produce evidence of his ability to profit by the required course of study He may also be required to take part of the LL examination LL candidate for the LL degree must have previously obtained the LL or the Ph degree in the Faculty of Laws as an Internal
