104 FACULTY OF ARTS CLASSES IN THE FACULTY The times and rooms of all classes will be given on timetable in the Main Entrance Hall The following signs are used to indicate the nature of the courses -Intermediate -Final General or Subsidiary -Final Honours or Postgraduate -Other courses The suffix denotes tutorial class The number of hours shown after each course is the number given to that course weekly Students taking Science subjects as part of their Arts course should consult the prospectus of the Faculty of Natural Science CLASSICS Head of the Department Professor Leonard Robert Palmer Phil Ph Students in this department may enter for Honours in Classics or Honours in Latin with Subsidiary Greek or Honours in Greek with Subsidiary Latin Greek I-Intermediate Arts -Language including Set Books hrs -Composition hr -Greek History 660-323 hr II- General Zj-Set Books hrs -Composition hr -Unseens and Language hr III- Honours -Unseens and Language hr -Translation hrs Aj-Composition Times to be arranged A4-General Greek History hrs A5-Set Books Times to be arranged Classes in the various Special Subjects allowed by the University Regulations are arranged as required
