PRIZES 47 II -IN THE FACULTY OF THEOLOGY -Prizes open to all Regular Students or the College Barrg Ipri3e& The Barry Prizes in Divinity were founded by the friends and former pupils of the Right Rev Alfred Barry formerly Principal of King's College Prizes are now offered in the Faculties of Theology Arts Laws Natural Science Medical Science and Engineering These Prizes are administered by the Council and the regulations at present in force are the following Each Prize consists of Books to the value of 28s The Prize in the Faculty of Theology is open to all regular students and is given to the student who passes with most distinction in the Examination in the Prayer-book at the close of the Easter Term The Prizes in the Faculties of Arts Laws Natural Science Medical Science and Engineering are awarded to the regular student in each Faculty who has attended with regularity the general Theological Lectures open to all students of the College and in the opinion of the Dean of King's College passes the best examination irrespective of the year to which he belongs Prizes under similar conditions will also be awarded to women students in each of the Faculties of Arts Natural Science and Medical Science No student may receive this Prize second time except in the case of student who has obtained it before joining the Department of Theology Such student may afterwards obtain it in that Department Urencb reek Testament flM13e The friends and former pupils of the Most Reverend Richard Chenevix Trench Archbishop of Dublin formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament at King's College presented to the College the sum of £156 for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize consists of Books to the value of £6 The Prize is open to all regular students of all Faculties and is awarded for knowledge of the New Testament Two papers will be set containing passages for translation from Greek into English and English into Greek and questions on textual criticism grammar exegesis introduction to the books of the New Testament and the formation of the Canon
