42 SCHOLARSHIPS VII-IN THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING Sambroofte Scbolarsbip in Engineering Scholarship of £50 per annum for three years will be offered annually to candidates entering the Faculty of Engineering Candidates must be under 19 years of age on Dec 31st pre- ceding the examination Subjects of Examination English Essay Pure and Applied Mathematics one subject chosen from Physics Chemistry Geography Geology French German Spanish Latin The successful candidate will be required to enter the Faculty of Engineering at King's College as an Internal Student of the University of London in October next following the Examination with the under- standing that he will proceed to an Honours Degree in Engineering in the University of London The payments will be made in nine terminal instalments pro- vided the Scholar continues in attendance as regular student in the day classes and produces to the Secretary at the end of each term certificate of good conduct and of satisfactory progress signed by the Dean of the Faculty The examination is conducted by the London Inter-Collegiate Scholarships Board and will be held in February Entry forms should be obtained from the Secretary of the Board Mr Wallace LL University of London Examination Halls Imperial Institute Road London before December 1945 jfounbers' Company's Scbolarsbip Scholarship of £50 year for three years tenable in the Faculty of Engineering at King's College is offered by the Worshipful Company of Founders subject to the conditions and terms laid down by the College and to such other regulations as the Company may from time to time prescribe The award of this Scholarship is suspended during the war Salomons Scbolarsbip This Scholarship which is at present of the value of £50 was founded in 1890 by Sir David Salomons Bart and is awarded by the Council of the Institution of Electrical Engineers to Student of one of the following London Institutions University College King's College City and Guilds Central Technical College and the Finsbury Technical College who shall be recommended by his College as having distinguished himself in the study of Electrical Engineering and who purposes continuing his studies in that subject Bavib fmgbes Scbolarsbip This Scholarship which is of the value of £50 is given annually out of the legacy bequeathed to the Institution of Electrical Engineers by the late Professor David Hughes and is awarded on the same terms as the Salomons Scholarship
